Did anyone see James Franco's exhibition "The Dangerous Book of Four Boys" ? Yeah me either... but it's on in BERLIN now if you missed it in NY... Worth a peak I imagine...

Or lovely Design Assistant is headed on a holiday to London / Paris next week (jealous? me? no way, never. Ok yes, totally) and she got me thinking of the MODERN PANTRY in Clerkenwell. Such a lovely little place... check it out if you are ever strolling through London.

Spring is in the air, just barely...what is going on NYC? My solution to deal with the cold while feeding my hopeful spirit is to wear spring colors but in winter weights, a hint of optimism if you will...
ah, I just can't wait to load my bike basket up with succulents from my favorite plant shop on 2nd Ave in the East village. I am thinkingabout trying out some air plants in mason jars and hanging orbs this year... chic!
I think its essential that I post this beard here where he can forever live safe and sound. I happened upon him in some Italian mens magazine while in Florence this past January, I ripped him out and hand carried him all the way back to NY to give to my friend Todd. And finally yesterday.... after 2 long months I handed it to him and he kindly scanned it to me 'for my records'. We are so weird, so weird for a beard...
Reason no. 212 to love NYC... FREEMANS ALLEY. On my way to brunch with dear friends now. Todays goal, a fancy cocktail mixed with egg white, craving the foamy goodness of this type of old fashioned cocktail as well as some sort of apple/cinnamon donut... This can be done... I just know it...
HAPPY SUNDAY KITTENS.
I have been meaning to post these beautiful photos of this amazing skull my dear friend Todd picked up from a French collector at the Chelsea Flea a few weeks ago. He himself is quite the collector, have a look at his many treasures here.
Oh and I couldn't resist this last pic, isn't this what weekends are for?
Oh and one more thing... this song... fall in love all lover again. I was on the train after a very hectic work week last night finding myself just needing some soul calming music to get me home... this did the trick and has pretty much been on repeat ever since.
Happy Saturday Lovers.
Sometimes I wonder if I could be any luckier to live where I do. Not only do I live in a fantastic space in which the owners of the building enlisted long time resident and friend Eunice Lee of UNIS to help them put the finishing touches on the place so they could rent it in the midst of the financial crisis... but I have so many fabulous shops on my street. Some of my favorites are Haus Interiors, Thomas Sires and Love Adorned. Not to mention the restaurants Pheasant, Public , Oficina Latina and Lovely Day... Its a designers dream really, and once this sun warms up NYC I am just a hop skip and a jump (bike ride) away from Williamsburg for even more amazingness.
Enjoy today and love what you have, not what you don't have. (I sometimes do this too, don't worry)

MAX WANGER sure shoots a good love /life /ever-after photograph.
His photos just give me all kinds of warm and fuzzy feelings ... and I can't help reminiscing over the beauty of which is Southern California...
I love this, reminded me of my dad. He has this theory and principal in life which is simply "you are here" its a quite humble reminder of the world around us and how small our problems actually are... keep going, keep doing, you are here, there is more.
He does it like this < ----------------------------------------------------- . ------------------------- > You my friend are that dot.
My bff Jamie and I contemplated getting this tattoo one night, we tried it in a pen and it didn't look as good as we had hoped. Maybe we should get a ruler and try again, I like it.
