Im putting this here because I want to remember this dream I had the other night forever... I dreamt that a beautiful, kind, slightly chubby, white horse with one hoof fell from a tree high atop a cliff that was set on the side of a winding road. I could feel his stocky hoof gnaw at each piece of bark as he attempted to climb higher. And then he fell. All the way down. But he survived and he picked himself up with his one hoof and brushed off his thick shoulder and continued on walking down the road. It was me who cried as I watched him walk off, one shoulder slightly black and blue. I love that horse. They say the white horse symblifies purity and good fortunes...
I was geeking out to the February issue of National Geographic last night and became fascenated with sea creatures from the article on man made reefs. How cool is this guy!?
The phosphorescent sea pen lives on soft, muddy bottoms, generally below 20m in depth. On each of the arms is a row of white, tentacled polyps, which can be seen clearly in the photograph. Each polyp has a very similar structure to the larger sea anemones.
I apologize if this site has gone from fashion to simply lifestyle... but thats kind of where my head is these days. Less about 'fashion' and more about a feeling. You with me?
Anyway here are some images to make you feel like you are not burried under 6 inches of slushy puddles. Oh yeah, clearly I am in NY. You in LA, you are having the time of your life right now. Jealous? Who me, no way - I get to walk home wearing my printed silk trousers tucked into uggs- and what woman doesn't aspire to that look?
ETTER ELLEN // I am assuming it is an LA based jewelry brand due to the fact that most stockists are in LA... but whats most interesting (aside from how beautiful the collection is) is the style numbers are actually dates accompanied by a breif little bit of history. For example this last little number is: '4.16.1943 The day the effects of LSD were discovered' ... beautiful and informative. I like.
