MILANO + LILY

I'm sitting here downloading photographs from Milano, just poached an egg with tomato and drinking coffee listening to PARIS RADIO. It's the most perfect calm snowy morning in NYC, just enjoying the calm before I start knitting the dreams for the world and all I can think is 'cardigan', 'pull over', 'saddle sleeve', 'raglan', 'exposed seams' ... So I came across this Lily Donaldson editorial and it dawned on me that I had dinner next to her at Pheasant a few weeks ago, thats the thing with NY - the models are everywhere, you lose track, they blend in, they start to look like gangly aliens, wanna be's, but then you realized they are the real thing. And may I add that they are everywhere right now, walking down Grand yesterday I must have passed 5 of them, all the same, alone, head phones, layers, flat combat style boots... it's really amusing to watch... it's here, they've arrived. Ah NY....

Now I know I already posted on Phoebe Philo's Resort collection for CELINE, but after seeing in real life in Milan I am blown away. This sh*t is so good. It's casual in a way that not a lot of other designers are doing casual, it is so wearable and modern, it's very clean, sharp, it is just stunning in person. Baby soft leather sleeves, cropped heavy silk blouses... and the bags... and the shoes. ahhhh I think I have a new favorite.

Ahhhh so tired, we have been in NY, Geneva and now Zurich... going on 19 hours now, trying to get to Florence. Somehow all of our flights to Zurich were cancelled ... Kooo Koooo... now we await the grand prize with glassy eyes and stringy hair. ahhhh, fashion is so glamorous, isn't it!? Anyway I will be away for the week, back soon for more goodies and in the m'time enjoy these hooded beauties...
